1. Website owner
The website www.meditehbeyond.com (the “Website”) is operated by:
Academy Srl
Registered office: Via Aosta 4/A, 20155 Milan, Italy
E-mail: info@meditehbeyond.com
The Website is dedicated to the MEDITeH BEYOND international summit on Digital Health and Telemedicine, promoted by Diplomatia through its Health Policy Commission, and to the activities of the MEDITeH Network. Where the Summit programme, the scientific contents or specific initiatives are attributable to the Scientific Board or to the promoting bodies, this is indicated in the relevant pages.
2. Acceptance of these terms
Access to and use of the Website imply full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. Users who do not accept them are asked not to use the Website. The Owner may amend these terms at any time; the version published on this page is the one in force, and continued use of the Website after publication constitutes acceptance of the amendments.
3. Purpose of the Website and nature of its contents
The Website has an informative and institutional purpose. It provides information on the Summit, its programme, its speakers, the working groups and related preparatory activities (webinars and similar events).
The contents published — including scientific abstracts, presentations, reports and recordings — are made available for information and professional-updating purposes. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations, nor a substitute for the professional judgement of a qualified healthcare professional, nor an offer of health services or of medical devices. The opinions expressed by speakers, coordinators and contributors are their own and do not necessarily reflect the position of the Owner, of the Scientific Board or of the promoting and partner bodies.
4. Programme changes
The programme, the dates, the venue, the speakers and the format of the Summit and of the related events may be modified for organisational, institutional or force-majeure reasons. The information published on the Website is updated as far as possible but is not binding until it is confirmed by the Organising Secretariat. Notice of any change is given on the Website and, where appropriate, by e-mail to registered participants.
5. Forms, requests and registrations
The forms available on the Website allow users to send requests for information or to express an interest in participating. Sending a form does not in itself constitute registration, admission or acceptance of a role at the Summit: any participation, speaking engagement, sponsorship or partnership is subject to written confirmation by the Organising Secretariat and, where applicable, to the signing of specific agreements and to the applicable economic terms.
Users undertake to provide truthful, accurate and up-to-date data and to refrain from sending content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or in breach of third-party rights. The Owner reserves the right not to process requests that are incomplete, manifestly fraudulent or automated, and to adopt technical measures against abuse of the forms.
Personal data sent through the forms is processed in accordance with the Privacy & Cookie Policy.
6. Intellectual property
All contents of the Website — including texts, graphics, layout, images, videos, logos, trademarks, domain names, databases and software — are protected by the applicable legislation on copyright and industrial property and belong to the Owner, to the promoting bodies or to their respective rightholders.
The trademarks and distinctive signs “MEDITeH”, “MEDITeH BEYOND” and “MEDITeH Network”, as well as the logos of the promoting, institutional and sponsoring bodies, may not be used without prior written authorisation.
Users may consult the Website and reproduce or print individual contents for personal, non-commercial use, provided that the source is acknowledged and that no notices concerning authorship or rights are removed. Any reproduction, distribution, publication, modification, translation or communication to the public, in whole or in part and by any means, including the extraction or re-use of substantial parts of databases and the use of contents for the training of artificial-intelligence systems, requires prior written authorisation, which may be requested at info@meditehbeyond.com.
7. Permitted use
Users undertake not to use the Website for purposes that are unlawful or contrary to these terms, and in particular not to: attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, to the servers or to connected networks; carry out activities capable of compromising the availability, integrity or security of the Website (including denial-of-service attacks, vulnerability scanning without authorisation, injection of malicious code); carry out automated collection of contents or data (scraping, harvesting) without prior authorisation; use the contact addresses published on the Website to send unsolicited communications.
8. Links to third-party websites
The Website may contain links to websites operated by third parties (institutions, partners, sponsors, scientific societies). Such links are provided as a convenience to users. The Owner exercises no control over the contents, the availability or the privacy practices of such websites and accepts no liability in that regard. Access to third-party websites takes place at the user’s own risk and is governed by the terms of use of those websites.
9. Availability of the Website and disclaimer
The Owner endeavours to keep the Website functioning and its contents accurate and up to date, but does not guarantee that access will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that the contents will be complete, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. The Website may be suspended, in whole or in part, for maintenance, updating or security reasons, without prior notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by the applicable law, the Owner accepts no liability for any direct or indirect damage arising from access to or use of — or from the inability to use — the Website, from decisions taken on the basis of its contents, from service interruptions, from computer viruses or from the unlawful acts of third parties. Nothing in this section excludes liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory rules of law.
10. Personal data protection
The processing of personal data of users of the Website is described in the Privacy & Cookie Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.
11. Reporting and contacts
Reports concerning contents published on the Website, alleged infringements of third-party rights, security issues or requests for authorisation may be sent to info@meditehbeyond.com. The Owner will assess the report and, where well founded, will remove or amend the content concerned within a reasonable time.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Italian law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation, validity or performance of these terms shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Milan, without prejudice to the mandatory rules on jurisdiction applicable to users qualifying as consumers, for whom the court of the place of residence or domicile applies.
13. Severability
Should any provision of these Terms & Conditions be held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to have full effect.
