MEDITeH BEYOND is the international summit dedicated to Digital Health and Telemedicine in the Mediterranean region and its extended area toward Africa and the Middle East.

Promoted by Diplomatia through its Health Policy Commission, it serves as a structured platform for dialogue and cooperation among institutions, embassies, healthcare authorities, universities, research centers and companies committed to strengthening digital healthcare systems across borders

From Summit to Transnational Network

The first edition of MEDITeH BEYOND marked the founding act of a structured collaborative initiative in digital health and telemedicine. What began as a high-level international Summit evolved into a permanent transnational network connecting institutions, scientific bodies and industry stakeholders across the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle East.

MEDITeH is not an annual event.
It is an ongoing platform.

The 2024 Milestone

During the inaugural edition:

Diplomatic representatives from over 20 countries engaged in institutional dialogue
Ten Working Groups addressed present and future digital healthcare priorities
Coordinators and delegates contributed to the drafting of structured position papers
A collaborative framework was formally established

The Summit laid the foundations of what is now the MEDITeH Network.

The 2026 Phase: Implementation and Consolidation

The 2026 edition marks the transition to the operational phase of the MEDITeH Network. Following the establishment of the Network in 2024, the focus now shifts toward the development of concrete and shared projects in digital health and telemedicine.

The purpose of the Summit is not merely conference-based. It is project-oriented. The first day and the morning of the second day will provide the institutional and methodological framework necessary to enable structured project work. During the second afternoon, transnational Working Groups will take the stage.

The 2026 Summit is therefore designed as a working environment aimed at launching realistic and sustainable cooperation initiatives across heterogeneous healthcare systems.

The Working Group Model

The operational core of the Summit is represented by the transnational Working Groups.

Each group is composed of institutional representatives, scientific experts and qualified stakeholders, and is entrusted with a clearly defined project mandate. Their objective is to:

Identify a shared and feasible project proposal
Define potential institutional and scientific partners
Outline a realistic initial roadmap
Present a structured synthesis in plenary session

The first day and the morning of the second day provide the methodological framework.
The afternoon of the second day is dedicated to project development.

Macro-Thematic Areas

For the 2026 Summit, the following areas have been identified:

The objective is not to analyze challenges,
to initiate structured and realistic cooperation paths.
STRUCTURED COOPERATION

Establish a formal framework for dialogue among institutions, scientific bodies and industry stakeholders operating in heterogeneous healthcare systems.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
